Quigley Scores Four Times in Win over ESU

EAST STROUDSBURG--Kelsey Quigley (Lansdale/Methacton) scored four goals and Allison Ziants (Winfield/Selinsgrove) stopped a career-high 18 shots in goal to lead Bloomsburg University to a 13-9 win over East Stroudsburg on Wednesday in lacrosse action.
Quigley scored twice in the first half as the Huskies jumped out to a 5-3 lead through 30 minutes of play. In the second half the Huskies scored three of the first four goals of the period, two by Allie Kakareka (Royersford/Spring Ford) and one by Quigley to lead 8-4 with 13 minutes to play in the game. Bloomsburg would later stretch its lead to five goals, 12-7, when Cara McGroarty (Pottstown/Pottsgrove) scored with 5:33 to play. After the Warriors cut the lead back to three, 12-9, Quigley scored the game's final goal with 27 seconds left to play. Ziants stopped 10 first half shots and eight second half shots in posting the win.
Along with Quigley's four goals, Bloomsburg, now 7-2, got three goals from Kakareka and two from Kim Springman (Downingtown/Bishop Shanahan).
The Huskies host Millersville on Saturday at 1 p.m.
